GreenTurf Lawncare is owned and operated by Justin & Kaylynn Harris.  We are based in McCook, Nebraska.   We specialize in fertility and pest management for lawns and grounds maintenance in residential and commercial areas.

GreenTurf Lawncare started operations in the spring of 2001 with the goal of providing the best professional fertility and pest management available.  Since then it has been growing and we're adding services every year to meet the challenges of our ever-growing customer base.

My name is Justin, owner/operator/founder of GreenTurf Lawncare. I have been involved in lawn care since 1987.  It started with a lawn mowing business at the age of 12 as a way to buy a Nintendo video game system and a lesson from mom and dad about responsibility.  It has evolved into a proud entrepreneurial way to do what I love to do.  GreenTurf Lawncare is a rebirth of the business I left behind in 1994 for other work experiences in agriculture and then college.

I have since then graduated from the  University of Nebraska-Lincoln receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.  I also served the agricultural industry as an "Agronomist" for two of the largest ag retailers in southwest Nebraska.

In August 2002 I became certified as a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) by the American Society of Agronomy

We are now a proud member of the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce.  We recently joined the chamber because we are committed to this community and what to become more of a part of it.  We look forward to working with the chamber and other members in various ways.  As a native of McCook I want to see our town grow and prosper so my kids have the same great memories of this town that I do.

You might see our boys around with us sometimes as they are anxious to become lawn care guys too.

This is a Heritage Days Parade picture from 2005. We came in 3rd place in the small business category.

Here are some pictures from the 2006 Heritage Days Parade, we came in 1st place in the Small business category this year.

Our floats so far have always featured real bluegrass sod on them.  Its a great way to illustrate our love for lawns and landscaping.  It's also a lot of work.  I don't have a clue what the boys will do when they're too big for the gator.
